Gilbert, Ariz. – Syracuse's Claire Cooke and Clara Morrison have earned NFHCA Division I Scholar of Distinction recognition for the second-straight year. The Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2020-21 academic year.
The duo, who become the first two student-athletes at Syracuse to earn the recognition twice during their careers, join alumna Iona Holloway (2012) as the three recipients in program history.
Cooke and Morrison were also named to the NFHCA Academic Squad this season and helped Syracuse field hockey to secure its 14th NFHCA Academic Team Award in the last 15 years.
