3/30/2021 2:05:00 PM | Field Hockey
Syracuse forward Pleun Lammers has been named ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. She previously earned the honor on March 16. The Doetinchem, Netherlands native scored the first goal for the Orange in a 2-1 road win at #14 Duke on Saturday. Lammers shares the award with Wake Forest's Hannah Maxwell.Â
Lammers' goal, the third of the spring for the sophomore, was a deflection off of teammate Eefke van den Nieuwenhof's shot on a set play. It marked the third goal for Lammers in the last two games. She scored twice in a 3-2 road win at Towson on March 14.Â
Syracuse moved up to No. 8 in the latest Penn Monto/NFHCA Coaches Poll and will host No. 10 Wake Forest on Friday at 10:45 a.m. at J.S. Coyne Stadium.Â
