Syracuse (7-10) is coming off a dominant 6-1 win over Marshall in its regular-season finale. The Orange are No. 41 in the latest ITA rankings released on Wednesday.

Freshman Viktoriya Kanapatskaya moved up to No. 12 in the ITA singles rankings. The Belarus native is 11-5 this season playing at No.1 and No. 2 singles. Additionally, Kanapatskaya and graduate student Natalie Novotna are ranked No. 36 in doubles.

Wake Forest (10-11) is the 32nd-ranked team in the country coming into Thursday's match. The Demon Deacons defeated the Orange, 6-1, when they last played on March 19. Since that match, Wake Forest has lost five of its last seven.
