
Hogan Earns ACC All-Freshman Team Honors

Syracuse University's Lauren Hogan is a 2020-21 Atlantic Coast Conference All-Freshman Team honoree. A defensive specialist, Hogan leads the ACC in digs per set with 4.75. She compiled a .988 reception percentage, having received 337 balls and committing just four receiving errors.
Hogan is the fourth Syracuse volleyball student-athlete to earn ACC All-Freshman Team honors, following Polina Shemanova (2018), Ella Saada (2017) and Santita Ebangwese (2015).
During the season Hogan earned the ACC Freshman of the Week award twice. The first weekly honor came after Syracuse swept Boston College. Hogan had 37 digs, including 22 in the first 3-0 win, and three service aces. The second award came after wins against Wake Forest (3-0) and Duke (3-2). She averaged 5.5 digs per set, recording 44 total. She also had seven assists, four ace and added a kill on a hustle play in which she sent the ball to the back of Duke's playing area with a swing of her right arm while facing away from the net at Syracuse's end line.
A native of Loveland, Ohio, Hogan is majoring in health and exercise science in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics.
