Kanapatskaya Begins NCAA Play Sunday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse freshman Viktoriya Kanapatskaya takes on Bunyawi Thamchaiwat from Oklahoma State in the first round of the NCAA Singles Tournament on Sunday, May 23. The match is slated for 5:30 p.m.
Kanapatskaya enters Sunday's match with a 12-5 singles record. She was named a member of the All-ACC First Team this season, one of two freshmen to be selected to the first team in a vote by the league's head coaches. Kanapatskaya last competed on May 7 against Kentucky in the first round of the NCAA Women's Tennis Team Championship, where she defeated No. 28 Akvilė Paražinskaitė in straight sets.
The USTA and the NCAA have partnered with the TennisOne app to be the live-streaming platform for the 2021 NCAA Tennis Championships. Fans can download the app to watch every match of the tournament.
