Five NCAA Tournament Teams on Orange 2021-22 Schedule

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The 2021 Orange volleyball schedule features five teams that competed in the 2020-21 NCAA Tournament, including Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) foes Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh, Louisville and Notre Dame, in addition to Jackson State.
Syracuse opens its 2021 campaign hosting a tournament that includes Buffalo, Connecticut and Albany on Aug. 27-28 in the Women's Building. In September the Orange play in three tournaments on the road, at Yale (Sept. 3-4), at Iowa (Sept. 9-11) and at Mississippi State (Sept. 17-19).
The Orange begin ACC action on the road against Boston College (Sept. 22) and then visit Duke (Sept. 26). Syracuse will return home in October to host ACC foes Wake Forest (Oct. 1) and Virginia Tech (Oct. 3).
Following road contests against ACC powers Notre Dame (Oct. 8) and Louisville (Oct. 10), the Orange return to Syracuse for four home matches against NC State (Oct. 15), UNC (Oct. 17), Georgia Tech (Oct. 22) and Clemson (Oct. 24).
In November, Syracuse plays at Pittsburgh (Nov. 5) and Virginia (Nov. 7) and then hosts Pitt (11/12) and Florida State (11/14). The Orange will celebrate Senior Day on November 21 when Duke visits and then wrap up the regular season at NC State on Nov. 24.
Head coach Leonid Yelin enters his 10th season at Syracuse and 30th overall. Under his direction, Syracuse advanced to the 2018 NCAA tournament in one of the best seasons in program history. The 2020-21 Orange finished the COVID-19 altered season with a 7-9-1 record.
