11/6/2022 6:24:00 PM | Women's Rowing
In their final race of the fall season the Orange women turned in a strong performance at the Princeton Chase on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, N.J. The varsity 8 finished fifth and the second varsity eight took sixth in the Women's Open 8, while the third varsity eight won the Women's 8 Round 2 and the 4th varsity eight was third. In the pairs racing, the Orange placed seven boats in the top 15, including finishing first, second and third.
"We had a great day for our program," said head coach Luke McGee. "The 2V8 was a real bright spot and the 3V8 and 4V8 both had great performances in the second round. The pairs had a really impressive showing. It's awesome to see a 5V representing Syracuse. That has been a goal for a long time. The depth across all boats is super rewarding to see. It has been a successful fall."
