Graduate student outside hitter Polina Shemanova was named as a 2022 AVCA All-American Honorable Mention selection. The honor marks Shemanova's second AVCA Honorable Mention recognition, as she earned the accolade at the conclusion of the 2018 season.
A native of St. Petersburg, Russia, Shemanova earned All-ACC, CSC All-District and the AVCA East All-Region honors for her efforts during the 2022 season.
Shemanova is one of four Orange athletes to earn the distinction and is the first to earn it twice since Kelly Duan (2004, 2005).
