
Orange Lose to Bradley at Plainsman Invite

AUBURN, AL.- Despite freshman Summer Clark's eight strikeouts, Syracuse (8-3) fell to Bradley (6-5) by a final score of 6-2.
In addition to her eight strikeouts, Clark went six innings, giving up only one run on one hit and walking just one batter.
In the batter's box, the Orange were paced by sophomore Angel Jasso, who went 2-for-3 on the day with an RBI in the fourth inning. Senior Neli Casares-Maher added another run to the board with an RBI double in the same inning. Freshman Kelly Breen also contributed at the plate putting together one hit in three trips to the plate with her double to right center field.
Trailing 5-0, the Orange first put runs on the board in the fourth inning. Syracuse pushed across two runs in the top off of the fourth from RBIs off the bat of Jasso and Casares-Maher. The Orange were unable to get any closer, as Bradley added one more run in the sixth on the way to a 6-2 final.
OF NOTE
- Jasso led the Orange at the plate, going 2-for-3 with an RBI.
- Clark's eight strikeouts add to her total of 31 throughout 31.1 innings pitched this season.
- Both Jasso and Casares-Maher have produced at least one hit in each of the last three games.Â
