
Orange Lose to Yellow Jackets

ATLANTA, GA.- Despite two solo shots from the Syracuse offense, Georgia Tech managed to take the second game in the series by another 4-2 score.

Syracuse falls to 17-11 overall, 1-7 ACC while Georgia Tech improves to 22-9 overall, 4-7 ACC.
Offensively, the Orange were led by freshman Laila Alves, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a home run, a walk and an RBI. Sophomore Angel Jasso went 1-for-3 with a home run and an RBI. Freshman Tessa Galipeau also contributed for Syracuse, putting together one hit in three trips to the plate while adding a double.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Yellow Jackets added runs to the board first in the bottom of the third inning with a string of hits to get runners in scoring position. They pushed two more runs across in the bottom of the fourth to take a 3-0 lead.

Syracuse answered in the fifth inning with a solo home run from Alves. A lead off home run for Jasso narrowed the margin to just one run at a score of 3-2 in the top of the sixth. Georgia Tech added a run in the bottom of the inning to sit at a two-run lead going into the final inning of the game.
