
Orange Lose Second Game to Louisville

LOUISVILLE, K.Y.- Syracuse (20-17 overall, 3-12 ACC) lost the second game of the three-game series to Louisville (23-17 overall, 7-7 ACC) 4-1.Â
Despite the Orange taking the early lead in the first inning, the Cardinals tied the score in the bottom of the second. Louisville pushed three runs across in the bottom of the third to take a 4-1 lead that Syracuse could not catch up to.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Angel Jasso led off the game with a single to center field. She stole second to put herself in scoring position. Neli Casares-Maher hit a ground ball to first base that moved Jasso to third. Kelly Breen hit her 28th RBI of the season to score Jasso.Â
The Orange held the Cardinals in the bottom of the first inning. A string of hits helped the Cardinals tie the score in the bottom of the second inning.
Louisville managed to put three more runs on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning. A combination of hits and a sacrifice fly led the Cardinals to their lead that the Orange could not come back from.
