Notre Dame Cruises Past 'Cuse

Notre Dame scored early and often and rolled Syracuse 22-6 at Arlotta Stadium on Saturday.
The Fighting Irish scored the first 12 goals of the game and held SU scoreless until five minutes had passed into the second quarter. The Orange dropped to 4-5, 1-2 ACC on the season.
Jake Taylor scored four first quarter goals for the Irish to lead the charge, finishing the day with eight goals in his first collegiate start. Brendan Curry finally broke through with 9:28 left before halftime. Dordevic and Buttermore each scored second quarter goals as well. Pat Kavanagh's goal with one second left in the half added the exclamation point on the dismal first half that had Notre Dame up 15-3 at the break.
Pat Kavanagh finished the day with nine points for Notre Dame.
Owen Seebold scored for the Orange in the third, but Notre Dame outscored the Orange 4-1 in the frame to extend the lead to 19-4. Matt Magnan and Dordevic each tacked on goals for 'Cuse in the fourth to make it six.
Syracuse continues its road swing, heading to Albany on Thursday.
