Orange Hit the Road for ACC Tournament

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse (25-20 overall, 7-15 ACC) travels to Pittsburgh for the ACC Tournament, where they will face Louisville (27-24 overall, 10-14 ACC) in the first round.
First pitch is set for Wednesday, May 11 at 1:00 pm and the game will be broadcast on the ACC Network.

THE OPPONENT
Syracuse and Louisville meet for the 39th time this week. The Cardinals lead the series 27-11. The two teams last faced off in a series at Louisville in April this season. The Cardinals swept the series. The Orange and Cardinals have faced off six times in conference tournaments, and this will be their third post-season meeting since joining the ACC. Louisville enters the ACC Tournament as the eighth seed.

The winner of the matchup will face number one seed Virginia Tech (40-6 overall, 21-2 ACC) on Thursday, May 12 at 11:00 am. The game will be broadcast on the ACC Network.

ORANGE UPDATE
- The Orange concluded the regular season with three straight wins against North Carolina. It was the first they swept an ACC series since 2018.
- Syracuse has outscored its opponents 24-6 in its last four games.
- In the final regular season game, Syracuse walked-off against UNC with an Angel Jasso home run in the bottom of the sixth inning.
- Jasso and Neli Casares-Maher combined for four home runs in the series against the Ter Heels.
- Casares-Maher went 5-for-9 with a walk on the weekend. Her two home runs in the series ranks her 8th in the ACC.
- Freshman Kelly Breen has had at least one hit in 12 of the last 13 games.
- Jasso leads the ACC in stolen bases per game with .51. She leads the Orange in stolen bases (21) and batting average (.376).
