The 2022 season is just around the corner for the Syracuse University field hockey team, which advanced to the elite eight of last season's NCAA Tournament. The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) announced its upcoming broadcast schedule for the ACC Network.
This season, the Orange will play on ACC Network twice from the friendly confines of J.S. Coyne Stadium. On Oct. 5, Syracuse takes on Stanford in a cross-country showdown with a 6 p.m. start.
The Orange cap the regular season home schedule on Oct. 23 against Rutgers for a noon start at Coyne Stadium. Syracuse's tilt against Rutgers will be part of the ACC Network's Sunday's Best marquee list of events on the Network.
The remaining seven home games will be carried on ACC Network Extra. Syracuse opens its home slate on Sept. 4 against Columbia at 1 p.m. The Orange will host Duke on Sept. 16 at 5 p.m. for the first ACC home game of the year. Other ACC games include Boston College (Sept. 30, 4 p.m.), and Louisville (Oct. 21, 6 p.m.).
Syracuse opens the 2022 season with three straight games away from Coyne Stadium. The Orange take on Sacred Heart and Vermont in New Haven, Connecticut on Aug. 26 and Aug. 27, respectively. Both games will be at 1 p.m. Syracuse heads to Kent State for a noon game on Sept. 2 before the home opener against Columbia.
