Joss to Race at U23 European Championships with Great Britain

Syracuse men's rowing senior Laurence Joss has qualified as one of 32 athletes selected for Great Britain's Under 23 European Rowing Championships squad. The Kingston, England, native made the men's eight crew after a summer of training with Team Britain.
Joss has been a staple in the Syracuse varsity eight since arriving on campus in 2018. In 2021, he sat five-seat in the varsity eight that finished fourth in the nation at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Championship Regatta.
No stranger to the Great Britain National Team system, Joss has competed at the Junior World Championships (double sculls), European Junior Championships (single sculls) and won the Great Britain Junior Trials on multiple occasions in single sculls.
The 2022 U23 European Rowing Championships will be held Sept. 3-4 in Hazewinckel, Belgium, at the Sport Vlaanderen Hazewinkel Regatta Course, which has hosted past World and European Championships.
