
Kozyreva Moves On at ITA All-American Championships

CARY, N.C. - The Syracuse University women's tennis team continued play at the ITA Women's All-American Championships on Sunday evening. The Orange were represented by Polina Kozyreva in the singles event.

After losing her first match in a double elimination format, Kozyreva matched up against Avelina Sayfetdinova of Texas Tech University in the consolation bracket. After losing the first set 6-4, Kozyreva bounced back to win the succeeding two sets (6-3, 7-6) to move on to the consolation round of 32. She is set to play against University of Pennsylvania's Gavriella Smith on Monday, October 2. The time of the match is to be determined.
