SPARKS, Md. – Former Syracuse University men's lacrosse captain Cole Kirst, who graduated this summer with a master's degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, has been named to the roster for the upcoming USA Lacrosse Fall Classic.
Kirst, who will play alongside brothers Colin and Connor, is among 23 players selected for the USA Lacrosse Fall Classic, which is set to run from Oct. 13-15 at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Maryland.
No stranger to the Red, White, and Blue, Kirst recently helped USA White win the LAXNAI Championship, a box lacrosse tournament held in Utica, New York last weekend. The Bernardsville, New Jersey native was a member of the gold-medal winning Under-21 USA Men's Lacrosse Team at the world games in summer 2022.
Professionally, Kirst completed his first summer in the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) and was named as the League's Jimmy Regan Teammate of the Year. In June, Kirst signed a two-year contract with the Halifax Thunderbirds of the National Lacrosse League (NLL).
A co-captain during his year with the Orange, Kirst was an All-ACC Men's Lacrosse Team selection after playing all 15 games at both midfield and attack. He logged 37 points with 26 goals and 11 assists. Prior to his time in the Salt City, Kirst played attack at Lehigh University, finishing his undergraduate career with 55 goals and 26 assists.
