SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University volleyball team is set to return home to compete against conference foe Florida State on Friday, Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. Fans can follow along with live stats and can stream it live on ACC Network Extra.
'Cuse is looking to tally their first win versus the Seminoles, having not won in the 15 games of the series since it began in 1992. The Orange matched up against Florida State earlier this season on Oct. 22, where the Orange were swept. The Seminoles are fourth place in the ACC, with a conference record of 12-2. Florida State's most recent match was a four-set win against Virginia last weekend, 3-1.
Last time out, the Orange were lost at NC State in straight sets. Junior Laila Smith had a season-high game, recording nine kills on 19 attacks with a .421 hitting percentage. Freshman Veronica Sierzant tallied a team-high 11 assists, two block assists and one service ace in the match. The Orange totaled 33 digs against the Wolfpack, with four performers reaching five digs or more and sophomore Melina Brooking leading the way with eight.
'Cuse will remain at home next weekend for a rematch against conference rival Boston College on Friday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. Fans can follow along with live stats and can watch live on ACC Network Extra. Friday's match will be Senior Night, so all fans are encouraged to show up and cheer loud for this year's graduating student athletes!
