Eight Named to NFHCA Academic Squad

GENEVA, N.Y. – Eight Syracuse University field hockey student-athletes earned mention on the NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad. The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) made its announcement Thursday.
Willemijn Boogert, Brooke Borzymowski, Daisy Frank, Pleun Lammers, Abby Neitch, Vivian Rowan, Lindsay Schiavone, and Marie Sommer all earned Academic Squad honors.
The NFHCA National Academic Squad program, sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, honors undergraduate collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year, and were nominated by their NFHCA member coach.
Three Division I academic awards remain to be announced — the NFHCA Scholars of Distinction will be announced on February 16, the NFHCA National Academic Team awards on February 21, and the National Scholar-Athlete on February 22.
