
Field Hockey Remains Top 10 in NFHCA Poll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – After picking up a top-20 win on the road last weekend, the Syracuse University field hockey team remained in the top 10 of the Penn Monto/NFHCA Coaches Poll.
The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) poll ranked the Orange 10th for a second-straight week. Syracuse (7-2) garnered 425 points in the week four poll. The Orange are prepared for a pair of top-15 showdowns this weekend in Boston as Syracuse takes on No. 12 Boston College on Friday and No. 14 Harvard on Sunday. Both games are set for a 1 p.m. start time.
Iowa occupied the top spot with 799 points and 34 first-place selections while North Carolina was second with 749 points and one top nod. Northwestern earned 735 points, good enough for third with four first-place votes, while ACC foes Duke, which earned two top selections, and Louisville were fourth and fifth, respectively.
Six of the seven ACC teams were ranked this week: No. 2 North Carolina, No. 4 Duke, No. 5 Louisville, No. 7 Virginia, No. 10 Syracuse, and No. 12 Boston College.
No. 10 Syracuse heads for Beantown this weekend, squaring off on Friday afternoon at No. 12 Boston College. Game time is set for 1 p.m. on ACC Network Extra. Sunday sees the 10th-ranked Orange make the quick trip across town to face No. 14 Harvard, again for a 1 p.m. start on ESPN+.
