
Kozyreva Represents 'Cuse in Day One of ITA All-American Championships

CARY, N.C. - The Syracuse University women's tennis team opened play at the ITA Women's All-American Championships on Saturday. The Orange were represented by Polina Kozyreva in the singles event.
In a double elimination format, Kozyreva matched up against Northwestern University's Christina Hand and lost in straight sets, both finishing at 6-2. She continues play in the tournament in the consolation bracket, facing off against Avelina Sayfetdinova of Texas Tech University on Sunday, October 1 at 4 p.m.
Syracuse stays in Cary, North Carolina on Sunday for day two of the ITA Women's All-American Championships.
