Boogert Named to NFHCA Collegiate Senior Team

MANAHAWKIN, N.J. – Syracuse University field hockey senior midfielder Willemijn Boogert was selected to the NFHCA Senior Team. The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced its annual Senior Team on Thursday.
Boogert, an All-ACC Second Team selection this season, was second on the team in points with 23, accounting for seven goals and a team-best nine assists. The Beek, Netherlands product played in all 20 games for the Orange as Syracuse reached the ACC Tournament Quarterfinals once again.
A catalyst on Syracuse's highly dangerous attacking penalty corner unit, Boogert injected 56 corners this season, tallying up 12 games with at least three corners. Eight of her nine assists came on penalty corners. A rangy threat in the midfield, Boogert was a key piece of the Orange press.
