CHESTNUT HILL, MASS. – Syracuse's (14-13, 2-7 ACC) offense erupted, snapping Boston College's (20-9, 3-3 ACC) eight-game winning streak as the Orange beat the Eagles,10-1, Sunday at the Boston College Softball Field.

Syracuse scored all 10 runs across the final four frames, sparked by a four-run fourth inning.

The duo of senior Lindsey Hendrix and sophomore Julianna Verni yielded just one run in the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST THE EAGLES:
Despite yielding a run in the home half of the third, Syracuse's bats came alive in the top of the fourth and never went away. The Orange sent nine batters to the plate, scoring runs on a pair of singles and two Boston College defensive miscues.

Syracuse broke the game open the very next inning when senior Angel Jasso cleared the bases with her sixth triple of the season.

Heading into the seventh with an 8-1 advantage, junior Taylor Posner put the nail in the coffin with a two-run homer over the centerfield wall.

Hendrix earned her seventh win of the season, allowing one run in four innings of work. Verni earned her second save of the campaign, yielding one hit in the final three frames while striking out three.

OF NOTE:

Syracuse recorded double-digit runs in a game for the fifth time this season, matching the season total from 2023.
Jasso recorded her sixth triple of the season and is tied with Alicia Hansen (2018) for the most in a single season in program history. Jasso's 10 career triples is also tied with Hansen for fourth all-time.
Hendrix recorded her 27th career victory and is tied with Courtney Mosch for the ninth-most in program history.
Posner earned her tenth multi-RBI contest of the season tying her with Jasmine Watson (2013) and Bryce Holmgren (2018) for the fourth-most by a junior.
Verni's second save marked the second consecutive campaign Syracuse has had multiple pitchers record two saves.

UP NEXT:
Syracuse welcomes Georgia Tech to Central New York March 28-30 for the start of a 10-game homestand at Skytop Stadium. First pitch on Friday's home opener is scheduled for 6 p.m. The game will broadcast on ACC Network Extra.
