
Hayles Posts Top-5 Time Nationally in 110H

Jaheem Hayles turned in the nation's fifth-fastest time to date in the 110-meter hurdles on the second and final day of the Tom Jones Memorial at Florida.
Hayles was third overall in a time of 13.38 seconds, 0.10 seconds off his school record from a year ago. Naseem Smith placed third in his section of the 110-meter hurdles. He crossed the line in 14.17 seconds, while Anthony Vazquez was two spots back in 14.28 seconds.
Taleea Buxton set a new career best in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 14.07 seconds, which was good for 12th in the open section of the meet, while teammate Peyton Rollins crossed the line in 14.64 seconds.
Elijah Mallard was seventh in the 400-meter dash (47.64 seconds).
Trei Thorogood (10.65 seconds) was 43rd in the 100, in an elite field of over 75 competitors in the 100-meter dash.
The Orange are back in action next weekend.
