Volleyball Earns AVCA Team Academic Award

Syracuse University is one of 230 NCAA Division I women's volleyball teams to earn the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT for the 2023-24 season.

The award, which began in the 1992 academic year, recognizes teams that maintain a year-long grade point average of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale. This is the 13^th time in program history and fifth time in the last six years that Syracuse has earned the Team Academic Award. The team finished the season with a 3.516 GPA for the academic year with eight student-athletes registering a GPA of 3.5 or higher and three student-athletes posting a 4.0 GPA.

The Orange had a strong academic year with a program-record nine student-athletes selected to the All-ACC Academic Volleyball Team (3.0 GPA or higher) in the fall. This is the second straight season the program has set a record for student-athletes on the All-ACC Academic Volleyball Team, as Syracuse's six honorees in 2022 also set a new benchmark at the time.
