: Played field hockey and lacrosse at Hillsborough H.S. • Served as team captain during her senior season • Scored 15 career goals, including five her senior season • Was a member of the New Heights Club team from 2004-08 • National Hockey Festival Champions in 2005 • Participated in the Garden State Games from 2004-06 during which she won two gold medals and one silver medal • Was named first-team all-conference by Courier News, second-team all-conference by Star Ledger, first-team all-county and was named to the North Jersey Senior All-Star team all in 2007 • Named to the 2006 second team all-conference and was an honorable mention all-county in 2005.Personal: Born March 1990 in Somerset, N.Y.• Daughter of Joe and Donna Czysz • One sister • Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Ambitions in hockey: To win the Big East Tournament again, to win the National Championship

Why did you choose SU? I wanted a school that would be challenging both on the field and in the classroom. Syracuse was the best match for me. I can receive an amazing education and be part of one of the best teams in the country.
