: Represented Orange field hockey at the National Futures Championship • Selected to participate in USA Field Hockey’s High Performance Training program • Was a three-sport athlete at Acton-Boxboro Regional H.S. (field hockey, lacrosse and basketball) • Scored 60 career goals and set a single-season scoring record at her high school with 27 goals her senior year • High school team was the Massachusetts H.S. Division I State Champions in 2007 • Was a member of the Cape Ann Coalition Field Hockey Club in 2006 and 2007 • Was a two-time National Festival Participant and a National Indoor Participant • Named a Massachusetts "Best of 60 All-Star," a Boston Globe All-Scholastic Field Hockey Player, a Boston Herald All-Scholastic Field Hockey Player all in 2007 and was the recipient of the Lowell Sun Field Hockey Player of the Year award in 2007 • Named a First-Team Dual-County League All-Star in 2006 and 2007 and was awarded the Team Spirit Award her senior year from her team • Member of the National Honor Society.Personal: Born August 1989 in Concord, Mass. • Daughter of Ronald and Janice Schlegel • One brother and one sister • Grandfather, Joseph Martin, graduated from Syracuse in 1950 • Enrolled in the LC Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science.

Strengths on the field? Field sense, vision and anticipation.
Why did you choose SU? I wanted to be a part of a school that combines strong academics as well as competitive athletics, and I fell in love with the school when I visited.
