2009: Scored the first game-winning goal of her career vs. Boston College in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament • Registered a goal at Providence in the BIG EAST Championship • Recorded one goal and one assist versus Rutgers • Dished out her first career assist against Massachusetts • Scored first goal of the season versus Providence.
2008: Played in 12 contests • Recorded two goals in 16-0 victory at Georgetown • Scored her first goal of the season in 10-0 win against New Hampshire • Named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the fall and spring semesters • Earned NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad honors • Named to the 2008-09 BIG EAST All-Academic Team.
2007: Registered her first career goal in 8-1 victory versus Georgetown • Named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the fall semester • Named to the NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad • Selected to the 2007-08 BIG EAST All-Academic Team.
2006: Played in 14 games as a forward • Took one shot against Vermont • Named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the fall and spring semesters • BIG EAST Academic All-Star.
High School: A three-sport athlete (field hockey, swimming, lacrosse) • Named first-team all-state • Scored 31 career goals to place her third all-time at Mountain Lakes High School • Had 21 goals in her senior campaign • Was a member of conference, county and state sectional championship teams • Was a first-team all-county, all-conference and All-North Jersey selection • Named to the Star Ledger All-2005 Team • Was a member of the National Honor Society and took part in the Academic Integrity Group, in addition to being a Peer Leader.
Personal: Born in June 1988 in Ridgewood, N.J. • Daughter of Randy and Mary Ellen Deitrick • Two sisters • Majoring in surface pattern design.
Ambitions in hockey? For the team to do well and win a championship before I graduate. For me to grow as a teammate and as a player.
Strengths on the field? Speed and work rate.
Why did you choose SU? I came to Syracuse because of its strong academics and athletics programs. Syracuse has a great reputation that I wanted to be apart of both.
