PHILADELPHIA - The Syracuse University freshman crew competed at the Head of the Schuylkill Saturday for its last race of the fall season. The only boat the Orangemen entered, a novice eight coxed by Daniel McManus, took eighth place out of 49 crews with a time of 14:15.88.

The Orangemen's spring season kicks off March 29 at the Conlan Cup in Boston.
