The National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) Subcommitee on Student-Athlete Reinstatement upheld the NCAA staff's decision to withhold Syracuse University men's basketball freshman Billy Edelin from the first 12 regular season contests of the 2002-03 season for a violations of NCAA Bylaw 14.7.2 (Outside Competition). Edelin will be eligible to play against Pittsburgh on Jan. 18, 2003.
