
Tennis Ends Losing Streak With Win At West Virginia

Morgantown, WV - In a rain-shortened match the Syracuse University women's tennis team defeated West Virginia, 4-0, in Morgantown on Sunday, March 31, Syracuse is 6-10 on the year, while West Virginia is 3-11. The win ends SU's seven-match losing streak.
Sophomore Daniela Kaluskova (Prague, Czech/Gym Budjovicka), juniors Masha Kabanova (Moscow, Russia/School #528) and Shervin Saedinia (Woodland Hills, CA/Calabasas) and freshman Kristine Bech Holte (Oslo, Norway/Fagerborg vgs.) won No. 1-4 singles, respectively.
As a result of the inclement weather the four singles matches were the only matches completed on the day. Sophomore Jessica Schlosser (Nedrow, NY/Christian Brothers Academy) played Katherine Agustsson in a match that did not finish.
Syracuse's next match is the team's final home match of the season. On Saturday, April 6 the Orangewomen take on Army at 11 a.m.
