Orangewomen Lose 7-0 To Maryland

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse University women's tennis team lost 7-0 to the University of Maryland at Drumlins Tennis Club on Saturday, March 9. Syracuse is 5-6 on the season, while Maryland is 7-3.
With No. 2 singles and No. 3 doubles player, sophomore Daniela Kaluskova (Prague, Czech/Gym Budjovicka) out with an illness, head coach Mac Gifford juggled the SU lineup. Sophomore Zani Suttle (Roswell, GA/Centennial) saw her first dual match action of the spring at No. 6 singles. Suttle, who is coming back from an injury, lost 6-0, 6-2 to Chloe Chavardes. In her freshman season, Suttle led SU rookies with 31 wins.
The Orangewomen head to Florida for three matches in the next six days. There next match is against Miami (Ohio). It will be played in Boca Raton, Fla. on Tuesday, March 12 at 11 a.m.
