
SU Tennis Loses Hard-Fought Match To Brown, 6-1

Holte and junior Trine Lise Juliussen won their No. 2 doubles match, 8-5, and seniors Masha Kabanova and Shervin Saedinia sent their No. 1 doubles match to a tie-breaker, but SU lost the doubles point when Arlack and Kerry Meath defeated Kabanova and Saedinia, 9-8 (7-3).
Kabanova stretched her No. 1 singles opponent, Victoria Beck, to three sets, before losing 6-7, 7-5, 6-3. Juliussen and her opponent, Stephanie Falconi, also played three sets, with Falconi winning 6-3, 1-6, 6-2.
The Orangewomen host BIG EAST rivals Connecticut and West Virginia on Friday, Feb. 14, and Sunday, Feb. 16, at Drumlins Tennis Club. On Friday, the teams will begin warming up at 4:00 p.m. and play will begin at 5:00 p.m., and on Sunday, warm-ups begin at 11:00 a.m. and competition starts at 12:00 p.m.
