Anthony (www.suathletics.com/carmelo), who has led the Orangemen to the NCAA East Regionals, is averaging 22.2 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. He has earned numerous national accolades, including USBWA, Sporting News and ESPN.com Freshman of the Year awards. He is the first Orangeman since Lawrence Moten to earn National Freshman of the Year honors. Moten garnered the distinction from Basketball Times and Basketball Weekly in 1992.

This season, Boeheim’s club recorded its first undefeated campaign in the Carrier Dome (17-0), where SU has been playing home games since the 1980-81 season.
The Orangemen face Auburn in the second East Regional semifinal on March 28 at approximately 9:40 p.m., or 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first game. The contest, which will take place in Albany’s Pepsi Arena, will be televised on CBS.
