Men's Cross Country Wins Albany Invitational, Women Finish Fourth

ALBANY, N.Y. - The Syracuse men's cross country team finished first out of 29 teams at the Albany Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 16 at the University at Albany campus course. The women's team finished fourth out of 21 teams.
The men were led by freshman Kyle Heath's sixth-place finish with a time of 25:23. Sophomore David Wishart finished ninth for the Orange with a time of 25:31. Junior John Graham and sophomore Matt Lawson finished right behind Wishart in 10th and 11th, respectively. Junior Chris Muldoon rounded out SU's top five, finishing in 24th place.
Freshman Liz Cufari paced the women with her fifth-place finish in 17:56. Sophomore Shelby Perkins was SU's second runner, finishing in 14th place with a time 18:35. Junior Gabrielle Charbonneau, sophomore Kelly Pimm and senior Leah Folmsbee finished 30th, 39th and 43rd, respectively, to round out the Orange's top five.
The men and women head to the BIG EAST Championships on Oct. 29 in Boston, Mass.
