Senior Trine Lise Juliussen defeated Akane Kokubo, 1-6, 6-4, 10-4, at No. 1 singles to earn SU's only point. Juliussen paired with sophomore Wei-Ming Leong to defeat Kokubo and Erika Takeuchi, 8-5, at No. 1 doubles, but the Orangewomen lost the doubles point when Mollie Edinson and Melanie Tu defeated freshmen Ashley Lipton and Kendyl Severino, 8-3, at No. 2.
SU played shorthanded for the fifth time in the last six matches and forfeited the No. 3 doubles match and No. 6 singles match to the Big Red. Cornell won the other four singles matches in straight sets. Takeuchi defeated Lipton, 6-4, 6-3, at No. 2. At No. 3, Kasia Preneta defeated Leong, 6-2, 6-0. Melissa Tu won at No. 4, 6-0, 6-1, against Severino. Nisha Suda defeated Marion Charlier, 6-2, 6-4, at No. 5.
