
Juliussen Lifts Syracuse to 4-3 Win Against Seton Hall

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Senior Trine Lise Juliussen came from one set down to win the decisive match, 2-6, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 1 singles to lift Syracuse to a 4-3 win against BIG EAST opponent Seton Hall on Saturday, March 20, at Drumlins Tennis Center. The Orangewomen are now 5-10 overall and 3-1 in the BIG EAST.
Syracuse earned the first point by winning at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Juliussen and sophomore Wei-Ming Leong defeated Kim Barfuss and Viviana Figueroa, 8-1, at No. 1, and freshmen Ashley Lipton and Carolina Huignard defeated Catalina Isaza and Lorell Zamot, 8-2, at No. 2. Senior Marion Charlier won at No. 6 singles, 6-3, 6-1, and Lipton won at No. 2, 6-3, 6-4, to set up Juliussen to earn the match-winning point.
SU hosts Boston College on April 3 at noon at Drumlins Tennis Courts. The Orangewomen play St. John's the next day, April 4, at noon.
