SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Orange men's soccer team and its student support group Colvin Street Elite (CSE) will be featured tonight on ESPNU in a segment that will run during the network's “Campus Connection” show between 6:30 and 7 p.m.
The package, which was produced and edited by Syracuse University student Doug Whitehorn, includes highlights and interviews with Syracuse senior Pete Hill, assistant coach Kris Bertsch as well as CSE members.
CSE is the official student support group of Syracuse men's soccer. The group's purpose is to create an exciting and intense atmosphere for all Syracuse home games, and Colvin Street refers to the road that runs behind the SU Soccer Stadium. Bertsch helped spearhead the group's formation in July when he joined the Orange coaching staff.
In 2009, CSE's efforts helped the Orange set an SU Soccer Stadium record for season average attendance (908), including four crowds of at least 1,000 spectators. For the team's home opener against Cornell on Sept. 15, the second-largest crowd in the history of facility (1,418) witnessed a 2-1 Orange victory.
