Graduate Student • Goalkeeper • Inverness, Scotland • Millburn Academy
Before Syracuse: Named to the Scotland U21 Training Squad • Goalkeeper for the Highland Districks U21 and U18 champions • Goalkeeper for Scottish Universities in 2006.
Personal: Born in September 1987 in Inverness, Scotland • Daughter of Colin and Laura McGowan • Has one sister • Pursuing her graduate degree in instructional design, development and evaluation.

High School: Helped lead her team to a 23-1 record, scoring 26 goals and eight assists as a senior team captain • Registered 80 goals and 37 assists as a forward during her career • Earned first-team all league honors in 2007 and 2008 • Played for Xcalibur Field Hockey Club from 2005-08, which won the 2005 National Indoor Tournament, 2006 and 2007 National Hockey Festival Championships • Vice president of the class of 2009 • Member of the student council, varsity club and key club • Also played soccer and ran track.
