SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Orange men's soccer team is taking advantage of Twitter, the popular social networking tool, to connect with fans, alumni and other supporters. The SU men's soccer Twitter page went live on Monday, Aug. 17 and will feature regular updates from the coaching staff. Fans are invited to follow the program at http://twitter.com/sumenssoccer

The men's soccer team began preseason training on Aug. 15 in preparation for the 2009 season opener at Binghamton on Sept. 1. Syracuse's first home match is Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. against Cornell at the SU Soccer Stadium. Admission for all home matches is free.
Syracuse went 8-6-3 overall last year to record its first winning season since 1999. The Orange returns six starters and eight letterwinners from last year's squad.
