Senior goalkeeper Eliza Bennett-Hattan was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Monday, Sept. 14, for her performances in two games last week. Bennett-Hattan recorded two shutouts as the Orange women's soccer team posted a 1-0-1 mark in the two contests. It's her second appearance on the Honor Roll in her career.
At Colgate, Bennett-Hattan made three saves as the Orange defeated the Raiders, 1-0. The victory gave Syracuse its first three-game winning streak since the 2003 season. Bennett-Hattan made seven saves, including three in overtime, in Syracuse's 0-0 tie at Niagara. The shutout against the Purple Eagles was her fourth straight as she became the only goalkeeper in school history to record 20 shutouts in her career. Bennett-Hattan has not allowed a goal in her last 380 minutes played.
The Orange tries to extend its four-game unbeaten streak on Friday when it opens BIG EAST play at St. John's at 5 p.m.
