SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Three Syracuse University student-athletes were named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District women's at-large team as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSida) on Thursday, May 20. Senior lacrosse player Christina Dove was named to the first team and will now go on the national ballot of Academic All-America. Junior field hockey star Lindsey Conrad and junior hockey standout Stefanie Marty both earned second-team accolades.
Dove, a dual major in finance and accounting, is making her third appearance on the All-District First Team. She earned the BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year award and was a unanimous selection to the All-BIG EAST First Team after leading the team with 94 points this season. Dove ranks in the top 10 in the nation in goals (67), points per game (4.70) and goals per game (3.35). She is Syracuse's all-time leading goal scorer and is the active Division I leader in points (332) and goals (248). Dove, who is the 23rd Division I player to record 300 career points, currently ranks 11th in career goals on the NCAA Division I all-time leader list and is 12th in points. In addition, her string of 60 consecutive games with a point is the third-longest active streak in the nation.
Conrad was named to the Longstreth/NFHCA Division I First Team and the BIG EAST First Team for her efforts during the season. She ranks tied for second on SU's all-time points list with 94 and fourth on SU's all-time goals scored list with 38. Her 43 points this season rank fifth on SU's single-season chart and her 17 goals ranked tied for fourth. The junior was named the BIG EAST Offensive and ECAC Offensive Player of the Week once during the season. She has tallied a team-best 43 points off a team-high 17 goals and nine assists. Conrad is a dual major in history and social studies education.
Marty was Syracuse's first Winter Olympian for her native Swiss National Team at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. It didn't take long for Marty to emerge as an offensive star as she went on to became just the third woman to score eight or more goals in one Olympics. She was second in goals scored in the tournament (8) and helped Switzerland secure a fifth-place finish in only its second Olympic appearance. Her successes this season didn't end there, as she also finished tied for first on her Syracuse team in goals (16) and tied for second in points (31). As an assistant captain, she was named to the Second Team All-CHA and garnered CHA All-Academic Honors. She is a dual major in economics and finance.
