SU Scores 1-0 Win In Exhibition Finale

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Orange men's soccer team ended its three-match preseason schedule on a high note, defeating Le Moyne, 1-0, on Thursday, Aug. 26 in its final regular-season tune-up.
Freshman center back Robbie Hughes tallied the game's only goal. He scored on a header midway through the first half following an Orange corner kick. The Syracuse defense did the rest, smothering the Dolphins for most of the game.
Senior goalie Jeremy Vuolo made three saves, but was really only tested once. It came in the first half when he was forced to make a diving save on a ball ticketed for the right side of the SU net.
After three exhibition games, the Orange now turns its attention to Siena. Syracuse opens the 2010 campaign against the Saints on Wednesday, Sept. 1 at the SU Soccer Stadium.
