McCabe Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I – Middle blocker Lindsay McCabe has earned her first career BIG EAST weekly honor for her efforts in leading SU to a 2-0 record last week and clinching the four seed in this weekend's BIG EAST Tournament.
McCabe reached double-digit kills in both matches, starting with 11 spikes against DePaul, and then matched her career-high with 17 kills against Notre Dame.
The sophomore from Georgetown, Ontario hit a combined .383 last week and also added 11 blocks. McCabe led the team in kills during conference action as 137 of her 252 spikes have come in league play. She hit .317 in conference and finished the regular-season with a team-best .285 overall hitting clip.
McCabe leads the fourth seeded Orange into the conference tournament this weekend, hosted by Marquette in Wisconsin, Milwaukee. SU will play Notre Dame for the second time in five days, as the two teams square off on Friday morning at 11 a.m. EST.
