SYRACUSE – The eighth-ranked Syracuse University men's rowing team recorded three second-place and one third-place finish today against No. 6 Boston and No. 12 Columbia at the Ten Eyck Boathouse located at Onondaga Lake Outlet in Longbranch Park. The Terries won all four races, including the varsity eight race for the Conlan Cup. It was BU's first Conlan Cup 2005, SU had won the previous five coming into today.

It was only SU's fourth cup race loss in the last 20, dating back to 2006. The Orange is now 31-6 in dual races over that same span of time.
The Orange second varsity eight took second, 3.4 seconds behind the Terries. BU crossed in the line with a time of 5:58.3. Columbia was third with a time of 6:13.9.
The Syracuse freshman eight finished third with a time of 6:08.2. Boston won the race in 5:52.7 and Columbia was second with a time of 6:02.9.
The freshman eight race was shortened to 1,000 meters due to rough waters in Onondaga Lake. The Terries won the final race of the day in 2:52.4. The Orange placed second with a time of 2:57.1.
The Orange returns to the waters at the Eastern Sprints in Worcester, Mass. on Sunday, May 15.
