Former Syracuse University field hockey student-athlete Shannon Tayor scored two of USA's three goals, to upset home nation and top ranked Ireland in the quarterfinals of Champions Challenge I. The win advances USA to the semi-finals on Saturday with a re-match against Scotland.
Holly Cram, who played for Syracuse head coach Ange Bradley at Richmond, scored the first goal in Scotland's, 3-2, quarterfinal victory versus Azerbaijan. Another former Syracuse student-athlete Leigh Fawcett also plays for Scotland.
