
Bradley's Bunch Concludes Play

Former Syracuse University field hockey student-athletes Shannon Taylor and Leigh Fawcett ended their respective runs in the Champions Challenge in Dublin, Ireland. Taylor and the United Stats took full control of the final thirty-five minutes, scoring three goals to defeat Fawcett and Scotland in the semifinals. USA's run ended in the championship game with a 3-2 loss to Japan.
Other Orange connections include Holly Cram, who played for Syracuse head coach at Richmond and current senior midfielder Liz McInerney. Cram played for Scotland, while McInerney served as host to the US contingency.
The current Orange squad opens the 2011 season against Monmouth on Saturday, August 27 at J.S. Coyne Stadium. Start time is set for 1 p.m.
