College Soccer News 2011 Top 40 Recruiting Classes
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse men's soccer team's 2011 recruiting class was tied for No. 40 on College Soccer News's list of the top 40 recruiting classes.Â

The class features 18 incoming players. Senior goalkeeper Phil Boerger and junior forward Louis Clark are two transfers that bring collegiate experience to the team. Freshmen defenders Jordan Murrell and Skylar Thomas bring international experience, as the two were teammates on the Canadian U-18 National Team this past winter.Â

"We are excited about the caliber of student-athlete that we are attracting to Syracuse University," said SU head coach Ian McIntyre. "This is a talented group of players who are looking forward to embracing the challenges that lay ahead. It is a group of young men of the highest character and I know that each player will take tremendous pride in wearing our Syracuse jersey."

The team returns to campus tomorrow, Wednesday, Aug. 10 to begin preseason camp.Â
