PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Syracuse field hockey's Alyssa Manley was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Monday after scoring three goals last week for the top-ranked Orange (13-1).

It is the first BIG EAST honor of the freshman midfielder's career. She is the eighth Syracuse player to be named to the honor roll this season.

Manley scored the Orange lone goal in a 2-1 loss at Massachusetts on Oct. 11. She followed that up with a two-goal effort in Syracuse's 4-1 win vs. No. 13 Stanford on Oct. 12. That game was also played at UMass' Garber Field.

Earlier this season, on Sept. 7, the freshman scored her first collegiate goal, the game-winner with 54 seconds left at No. 24 New Hampshire.

Manley, from Lititz, Pa., now has four goals and two assists on the season for a total of 10 points.

Up next for Syracuse is a BIG EAST match-up with Georgetown in College Park, Md. on Friday at 3 p.m. The Orange returns home to host Boston College at J.S. Coyne Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m.
