Men's Soccer to Wrap Up Spring Season

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University men's soccer team will play six matches over the next two weekends to complete its spring season. SU will take on two teams that qualified for the NCAA Division I Championship this past fall and the 2011 NJCAA Division III national champions.
The Orange plays its only home match of the spring on Saturday, April 14 at 11 a.m. against defending Northeast Conference champion Monmouth at the SU Soccer Stadium.
On Sunday, April 15, the team travelsl to Herkimer, N.Y. to play Herkimer County Community College, the defending NJCAA Division III national champions, and cross-city rival Le Moyne. The first match is set to start at 12 p.m., while the showdown of Syracuse schools kicks off at approximately 1:15 p.m.
The following weekend, Syracuse will compete in the Nike Spring College Cup on Saturday, April 21 in its final spring outing. SU will face 2011 Patriot League champion Colgate, Skidmore, and Stevens Tech at the event. Games will be played at Gavin Park in Wilton, N.Y. The Orange's matches are scheduled for 11 a.m., 11:50 a.m., and 2 p.m.
